About

Ten years of one question

Would we keep this in our own home for ten years? Everything Juniper makes has had to answer that before it went on sale.

The workshop

Our joiners, upholsterers and finishers work in the same building in Ikorodu, which is why a custom seat depth is a conversation rather than a change order.

We keep the workshop small deliberately. It means we turn away contracts we could not build properly, and it means the person who upholstered your sofa can tell you which roll the fabric came off.

What we hold to

Four rules

Build it where it will live

Every frame is cut, upholstered and finished in Lagos. Nothing is imported flat-packed and re-badged.

Sit on it first

No piece reaches the floor until a prototype has spent two weeks being sat on by everyone in the workshop.

Source close to home

Oak from Ondo, clay from Abeokuta, weaving from a Kano co-operative we have bought from since 2016.

Quote in naira, honour the quote

The price you sign is the price you pay, however the exchange rate moves in between.
